Do the effects of anti-depressants diminish the longer you take them? And I just want to say it irritates me when my doc (GP) asks me why I feel sad? There are usually circumstantial events that contribute to my depression, but overall, I don't have a list of answers....

This can happen, yes - usually when it does the dosage is raised or the medication is changed. Whatever works best for you.
You can’t really put feelings/reasons into a list - Depression is what it is..your GP should know better. Don’t be backed into a corner. Do whatever is necessary to feel better.

Is it true that I can do anything if I just set my mind to it? I'd like to commit suicide without causing any harm or grief.

I think you should set your mind to living sweetheart.
I know that you think this is the only option left to you - but it’s not. This feeling will not last forever. It will pass and you will feel better.
Do not give up. Death is never kind to anyone, even if we ask for it.
You deserve to live.

Hiii, just saw your message. I've been recovery for a while now and I'm almost at 100 days free of self-harm, but the thoughts are coming back. I'm having issues with friends, a guy, family ect. ect. It seemed so easy but now I'm close to 100 things are getting harder. I was so confident I'd beat it but now the urges are coming back. I want to beat this, but it's getting harder and harder. Any advice would be amazing.. xx
